NeonGate: Privacy Policy & End-User License Agreement
I. PRIVACY POLICY
NeonGate is engineered as a secure gateway that prioritizes user anonymity. This policy details our rigorous standards for data handling and the limited scope of our technical interactions.
The Principle of Local Sovereignty
NeonGate operates as a "No-Logs" VPN service.
Tunneling and Traffic: All encryption protocols and data routing are handled locally on your device. We do not inspect, intercept, or record your browsing history, destination IPs, or the content of your data packets.
Connection Transparency: We do not store logs of your source IP address, assigned VPN IP address, connection timestamps, or session duration. Your network activity is ephemeral and never touches our persistent storage.
Third-Party Ecosystem and Technical Data
To maintain a high-performance network and facilitate application growth, we collaborate with specific third-party service providers. These entities only process technical, non-identifiable metadata.
Firebase (Google): Utilized for crash reporting and app performance telemetry. This helps us identify and resolve stability issues across different device configurations.
Attribution & Analytics (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer): These platforms help us track the source of app installations (marketing attribution). They may process pseudonymized technical identifiers such as your Advertising ID (GAID or IDFA).
Strict Confidentiality: These partners are contractually restricted from using this technical data for any purpose other than supporting NeonGate's operational needs.
Legal Basis for Processing Information
We process data under the following legal foundations:
Contractual Necessity: Establishing a secure VPN tunnel is essential to deliver the service you have requested.
Legitimate Interests: We utilize non-sensitive technical data to safeguard our network against abuse and to ensure the commercial viability of our application.
Consent: We rely on your explicit system-level consent for optional features or tracking identifiers.
Understanding Your Data Rights
We empower our users with the following rights, irrespective of their geographical location:
Right to Know About Sharing: You have the right to be informed of exactly what technical data is shared. NeonGate only shares non-identifiable technical IDs with the service providers listed in Section 2.
Right to Know About Sales: You have the right to know if your data is sold. NeonGate does not sell, lease, or monetize your personal data to any third party.
Right of Access: You may request access to the information we hold about you. Since we do not collect personal identifiers, this is typically limited to technical interaction logs or support history.
Right to Rectification: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we have collected.
Right to Deletion: You have the right to request the total erasure of your data. Uninstalling the app and clearing your device cache removes all local configurations immediately.
Right to Lodge a Complaint: You are entitled to contact a regulatory authority or data protection supervisor in your jurisdiction if you believe our data practices violate applicable laws.
Retention and Circumstances
VPN Traffic: This information exists only in volatile memory during an active session and is purged the moment you disconnect.
Technical Telemetry: Data processed by third-party analytics is retained for the minimum period required for aggregate reporting (typically 14–24 months) and is then permanently anonymized or deleted.
Support Interactions: Records of support emails are kept only until your technical inquiry is successfully resolved.
Opt-Out and Non-Sharing Choices
You have complete autonomy over your technical footprint:
Opt-Out of Data Sharing: You can choose to prevent the sharing of technical identifiers by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android) within your system settings.
Permission Revocation: You can revoke the VPN configuration permission at any time, which will immediately cease all networking activity within the app.
Data Protection Officer (DPO)
We have appointed a Data Protection Officer to manage our privacy strategy and handle user requests.
DPO Name: Alistair Vance

II. END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
Grant of License
NeonGate grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the Application on your device for secure networking and privacy purposes, subject to your compliance with this agreement.
Acceptable Use and Restrictions
By utilizing NeonGate, you agree not to:
Use the service for any illegal activities, including copyright infringement, distribution of prohibited content, or cyberattacks.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying encryption logic of the Application.
Resell or commercially exploit the VPN service without express written authorization.
Use the service to interfere with the network performance of other users or our server infrastructure.
Intellectual Property
The NeonGate name, logo, UI/UX design, and proprietary encryption implementations are the exclusive intellectual property of the developer. No ownership rights are transferred to the user.
Disclaimer of Warranty
NeonGate is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we maintain a high standard of security, we do not warrant that the service will be entirely uninterrupted, error-free, or capable of bypassing every regional network restriction.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeonGate and its creators shall not be liable for any damages resulting from your use of the service, including data loss, loss of privacy due to user-side negligence, or legal consequences arising from your online activities.
Termination
This agreement remains effective until terminated by either party. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your license immediately if you are found to be in violation of the Acceptable Use policy.
